A Night in West Egg

WHO: EVERYBODY OF ALL AGES
WHERE: The Xavier Institute
WHEN: The night of June 16th, all night!
WARNINGS: Who can really tell anymore? Probable language. Possible violence. Copious dancing.
SUMMARY: PROM PROM PROM PROM PROM PROM PROM
FORMAT: OPEN

The guests into an auditorium transformed. Through the magic of papier mache, the room has been decked out like a speakeasy, the refreshments laid out on a very makeshift bar that will not stock alcohol as long as they can prevent it. The whole room is cast with a cool blue light, and a jazz band's been hired to take the stage for an hour before leaving the rest of the evening to the DJ.

It was time to get this party started.

I've had other more pressing concerns to deal with, if you can recall. [ such as living gamzee's fugitive lifestyle and getting murdered. ] And it's not like I could have just rocked up to a random bookstore, whipped a dripping wad of cash out of my nook and purchased a copy. I had to ask Gamzee to steal one for me.

This isn't exactly so true as it may have been weeks ago. Those concerns are past now, are they not?

I'm surprised that you never thought to inquire as to whether I would consider lending my copy. Though, in retrospect, perhaps I should have offered preemptively.

You didn't need to give me your copy, god. It's not your fault we're broke. We manage just fine anyway. It doesn't matter.

I didn't offer it as a gift, but as a temporary lending. However, if there's a financial failing, that I can attempt to solve with fewer expectations of return.

It may not be my responsibility, but it is within my abilities to assist in.
