(OPEN. PARTY PARTY PARTY.)
WHO: cross marian (
ioudas) & you!!
WHERE: all around the city.
WHEN: july 31st
WARNINGS: ... it's cross. so. many.
SUMMARY: it's cross's birthday and he's celebrating it like people in the future would!!
FORMAT: actionspam to start and your choice after 8)!
(it is absolutely not common that you end up in the future for your birthday. in fact, despite the discrepancy with his own age back home, cross was actually milking this for all it was worth. when he found out that people actually give you free stuff. a little charm here and a little flirting there, he's got so much free stuff that he doesn't know what to do with it.
what's more, at the moment he's just too excited to spend his birthday not wondering if someone at a party is going to try and kill him. so, throwing caution to the wind, just let the party begin! he's in various locations doing various things.)

But you seem to be entertaining yourself without, at least so far.
no subject
(maybe he's crazy or maybe he's having some powers awaken, but cross reaches into the pit to try and get the lion's attention with his hand.)
All cities never sleep.
no subject
[He watches Cross work with some mixture of curiosity and concern.]
What's that you're doing?
no subject
(his hands reach out, his eye fixating on the lion to get him to come closer.)
Petting it. Why?
no subject
[Oh, that's a cringe. Hank does not feel very confident in this.]
Cross, get your hand out of there! Well behaved as they may seem to be, these are still predators, and you very well could find yourself removing a stump!
no subject
Trust me when I say that I've dealt with worse.
(He has punched a lion in the face before.)
no subject
This isn't a good idea, even if you aren't afraid of getting hurt!
no subject
there's a second where it looks like it's going to attack and cross is going to have to get out of the way.)
no subject
Whether he'll be barreling Cross out of the way or neutralizing the lion is a question he hasn't answered yet. Instinct'll take over on that one.]
no subject
What was the worry now?
no subject
[Hank eases himself back down to the walkway, relaxing as he suddenly realizes he'd perched himself on top of the separating wall.]
What in heaven's name just happened?!
no subject
I told you, lions love me. Don't worry Henry, you're still my favorite one.
no subject
[He glances over to the little golem acting up beside him. Now that is another curiosity he might like to know more about sometime when Cross isn't in the middle of the lion's den.]
Can't say the same for this little guy.
I didn't exactly expect you to be so Danielesque.
no subject
Oh, he'll be alright. He just hates lions because they tend to try and swallow him. And why not? I think women find it endearing if i like their cats.
no subject
[And he reaches over to, experimentally, try gently pat Timcanpy on the...top? He isn't sure it could be considered the head.]
no subject
No, they all try to eat him. (despite the fact he's lying down with a lion, he's happier that timcampy is making friends. it's sad, really, timcampy is his best friend in the entire world.)
Oh look, he likes you.
no subject
[If he likes the patting, Hank's going to go ahead and transition into a skritch along his forehead.]
no subject
(uguuu look at that. though despite the fact that now he's getting piled on by lions, timcampy actually gives him a toothy smile. yay, attention!!!)
no subject
[The teeth give him a bit of a surprise, but he keeps skritching nonetheless. Little guy seems to be enjoying it.]
Can I expect the same assurance from him?
no subject
(Timcampy just rolls over, quite like the lion and cross before he gets so big that his fat butt is hanging off of the side.)
See what I mean? He's a fatty.
no subject
[Hank resolves to rub his belly now, almost just to experiment further.]
no subject
(why, why oh why can't he take both. this lion is even missing an eye like him, but timcampy looks too adorable not to play with. sighs, thug lyfe.)
no subject
Magic does have an annoying habit of eschewing physics. It can be ever so slightly frustrating when you devote your life to the study of certain subjects, only to find some qualities of reality disregard them right out the gate.
no subject
(except he wasn't. there was a reason why cross's research was the type that couldn't get published. he'd made golems that could regenerate even when smashed, altered their size by breaking laws, reanimated a corpse to become a weapon that only listens to him and so much more.
but, all of those came with the price of his humanity (at least in the grave of maria's case). once the lion was asleep, cross crawls over before swinging his legs over the bars again.)
Besides, think of it as a new field.
