[As promised Kenzi arrives at the restaurant a little before seven (like five before); which is a feat given how often she's usually late. Since it would be out of place at this restaurant she hasn't gone all out on the dress up and hasn't overdone it with some stylish hairdo, just simple large loose curls. Simple yet stylish.

After coming through the door she quickly locates Gil and makes an attempt to sneak up on him. Although if he had any sense he would have been keeping his eyes on the door.]

Oh, I met Nelson. He seemed nice. Don't think I met the weird hooded guy though.

[invoking]

At the auction, you mean? [ A pause. ] It was hard to miss him... he never took off the hood, even when he was trying on clothes.

[wisecracked]

Yeah, at the auction. [She chews on another bite as she thinks.]

Oh! I think I saw him...never said anything to him. Kinda creepy.

[invoking]

[ But Nelson cares about him a great deal. ]

All of this because of a stupid auction... [ He's really going to rip a new one into the culprit. Or try anyway. ]

[wisecracked]

Well, it's over now so you don't have to worry about it anymore. [Bright side! Sort of.]

[invoking]

That's true. [ He just wishes it never happened. ] I understand it was for a good cause...

[wisecracked]

Yup. A cause I wouldn't have bothered with normally. [So greedy.]

[invoking]

[ A flat look as he picks up his fork again. ]

Really... [ Says the woman who was living on her own and probably could have used the money? ]

[wisecracked]

Not really into the whole charity thing. My hard earned money and all that. [Stealing is hard work too!]

[invoking]

That seems a bit cruel, don't you think?

[wisecracked]

I did say I was cruel, didn't I? Besides, it's like I have an infinite amount of money I can just throw at something, as much as I wish I did. Since I've stopped my little side business and Piccolo's only just now getting a job... [The auction was a mistake, is what she's trying to say. But she really didn't expect to win. Winning Roy wasn't a huge chunk of her money taken from her but Gil, on the other hand, was a hit.]

But, whatever. What's done is done and they got some of money.

[invoking]

Yeah, they did. They raised quite a bit of it. [ He hopes it helps in any way it can. He finally takes a bite of out his broccoli. ] I'm surprised... you didn't sign yourself up for the auction.

[wisecracked]

Like I said, not really into the charity thing. Plus, I'm not big on the random date with strangers part. [She takes a sip of wine before taking a bite from her mashed potatoes.]

I tried to explain that to Mr. Nelson and I don't think he listened to me at all. [ Then again, it was probably the least he could do for Nelson in return for his kindness. ]

[ And then he's staring off into a void. ]

[Kenzi gives him a sympathetic look.]

I'm sure it'll be fine.

[ He grimaces, lowering his voice: ] Mr. Nelson has to wear his... costume...

[wisecracked]

[Kenzi grimaces as well.] I'm so sorry, dude. We will have to hold a funeral for dignity after it's over.

[invoking]

That's not helping!

[wisecracked]

[She snickers softly.] It won't be so bad, I'm sure. Once it's over you gotta tell me about it, though.

I don't think there will be anything to talk about. Not with the Deputy Mayor around...

[ Ugh. ]

I can't believe he did that! Why did he give his winning bid away?

So, I still wanna know how it went.

[She smiles at him before eating a bit more of her food.] Maybe he thought you two would get on fine. [And by that she meant as an actual date and not just as friends...even though she knows better.]

[invoking]

He -- he -- that man...! [ His glows a deep red. No, he can't say it aloud. ]

[wisecracked]

[Kenzi lowers her fork with a piece of pork still skewered on it and raises a brow at Gil.] What?
