A Night in West Egg
WHO: EVERYBODY OF ALL AGES
WHERE: The Xavier Institute
WHEN: The night of June 16th, all night!
WARNINGS: Who can really tell anymore? Probable language. Possible violence. Copious dancing.
SUMMARY: PROM PROM PROM PROM PROM PROM PROM
FORMAT: OPEN
The guests into an auditorium transformed. Through the magic of papier mache, the room has been decked out like a speakeasy, the refreshments laid out on a very makeshift bar that will not stock alcohol as long as they can prevent it. The whole room is cast with a cool blue light, and a jazz band's been hired to take the stage for an hour before leaving the rest of the evening to the DJ.
It was time to get this party started.
quick-links!

You know what, she'll bite. She pushes off the wall, stooping down to pick up her shoes and sashaying across the floor, weaving in and out of people dancing.]
Keeping an eye on me, Fussyfangs?
no subject
it's showtime. ]
I was merely making note of the mismanagement you're putting that dress through.
no subject
The hell are you talking about? The dress is fine! I haven't torn it or anything.
no subject
Yet I can't help noticing that you're wearing only the single bangle.
no subject
They were too bulky together. And that has nothing to do with the dress anyway.
no subject
The dress is but a component of the overall outfit. Of course, nothing can be done on my part to prevent your predilections from being so tacky as to believe they may have succeeded in a grouping, but being made to expend the effort in forging them doe inspire some degree of expectation that they would at least be put to use.
no subject
Should I assume this is going to be par for course every conversation we have?
no subject
I made that outfit for tonight. You, being aware of this fact, knew that you would be unable to acquire the other pieces if I was aware you would be withholding them for this evening. [ could it be thoughtlessness? probably! but kanaya's going to attribute malice and deceit anyway. ]
no subject
I was going to wear them, I already told you they looked like shit together, which is why I didn't.
And if I had? You'd be nagging my ass about how I made your outfit look tacky with my poor fashion taste because you're the expert on that apparently. Either way you'd be fussing at me for something, so I went with the option I liked better.
You can have the jewelry back if it's such a big deal.
no subject
And what exactly would I do with them if I did take them back? I've already made them, there's no unmaking them. You might as well keep them.
[ she mutters to herself how she wishes she'd made them pokier on the inside so that they'd be that much more uncomfortable ]
no subject
[She rolls her eyes. This is seriously ridiculous.]
Then quit nagging at me, they're going to get worn. It's not like I don't like them or anything, geez.
no subject
[ she folds her arms and stares off to the side ]
...But maybe it would have been easier if you didn't.
no subject
What the hell is that supposed to mean?
no subject
Nothing. Pay it no mind.
no subject
It was definitely something! You can't take it back now.
no subject
None of that matters because it meant nothing whatsoever.
no subject
Cut the shit, you wouldn't have said it if you didn't mean something by it.
no subject
no subject
Yet another thing you can't make your mind up about. Shocking.
no subject
[ just the supposed appreciation of them ]
no subject
[God, fuck you Kanaya now she's going to wear them just to spite you.]
no subject
They were intended as a private aside to myself, the exclusion of their outside extension to be absolute, most especially from you.
no subject
[She is aiming the most passive aggressive smile at her.]
no subject
If you were truly so apathetic to the truth of the statement, why would you so enthusiastically press the topic?
