[Kenzi has spent the week beforehand getting everything ready for Sunday. So by the time the day rolls around the kitchen counters are laden with various party foods. Bowls of chips and dip, a vegetable plate for anyone that wants something healthy, cookies...just the usual stuff. As far as drinks go Kenzi has a big ice chest waiting for any drinks anyone brings. She's provided some beers and sodas, there's also some bottled water and juice in there. Anything else is up to those coming.

All the hard stuff has been hidden as Kenzi doesn't plan on sharing. But there are some jello shots that might have just a bit too much vodka in them in the fridge.

Kenzi takes one last look over everything to make sure it's all ready before flopping down on the couch to wait. She didn't give a specific time for people to drop by, which now that she thinks about it she probably should have. Oh well. For now she'll just wait.]

That's the point! There's aliens here and some might even be native or something.

Yeah...I guess. Although that was before I arrived. I don't think they've popped up against since. [Not that it'd be easy to tell if one was around, given the shape-shifting.]

I left a few months before it happened. I wonder what happened to them.

No idea. [She shrugs and stuffs a couple chips in her mouth.]

[ An airy but quiet laugh escapes him. ]

You never seem bothered by anything.

If I started being bothered by everything I'd start getting wrinkles and going prematurely grey. We can't have that now.

I highly doubt that would happen.

It would, stress does that to you. Plus there's all the other health problems.

[She pops another chip in her mouth as she gives him a curious look.] Then what did you mean?

It doesn't affect you, the things that happen. You don't change. [ Maybe he's imagining it. It sort of reminds him of Oz, who stands unaffected by everything happening around them. (At least on the surface.) ]
