[As promised Kenzi arrives at the restaurant a little before seven (like five before); which is a feat given how often she's usually late. Since it would be out of place at this restaurant she hasn't gone all out on the dress up and hasn't overdone it with some stylish hairdo, just simple large loose curls. Simple yet stylish.

After coming through the door she quickly locates Gil and makes an attempt to sneak up on him. Although if he had any sense he would have been keeping his eyes on the door.]

[Kenzi grins across the table at him, tempted to tease him about having a crush or something but decides against it. Instead she cuts off a piece of her Parmesan pork loin and pops it in her mouth. Immediately she seems to melt into her seat.]

[ He cuts a small piece of his veal chop and takes a bite. If it had been Alice, half this plate would have been emptied out. ]

Anyway... I suppose I should say thanks again. [ He huffs after swallowing. ] For saving me at the auction.

This is sooo good. [She pops another bite in her mouth before shrugging. She at least waits until after she's swallowed to reply.]

No need. [She takes a drink of water before turning to refill her wine.] I honestly didn't think I'd even win, anyway.

[ He starts cutting into the veal again, his grip on the knife growing harsher as he tries to think of who would have signed him up in the first place. ]

I still don't know who it was... But I'm not going to let it rest!

[She gives him a confused look before it hits her what he means.] Good luck with that. I'm pretty curious who it was as well.

Maybe April? [ He can't think of who else it could be. ]

Does seem like something she'd do. I mean, I so would have...except I know how you are.

[ His fork clatters against the plate. ]

You were going to sign me up?!

I was tempted but quickly decided it'd be the worst idea ever. I'm cruel but I'm not that cruel.

I got stuck shopping with some -- some strange masked man!!

What? I said I didn't do it!

[She blinks at him, raising a brow and slowly lowering her fork.] Strange masked man?

One of those... hero types. He calls himself Hooded Justice.

Hooded...Justice? That's...special. [Kenzi scrunches her nose and shakes her head before turning back to her meal.]

I'm sorry you had to go through that. But you looked really nice in your suit.

He's a friend of Mr. Nelson's... [ He rolls his eyes, though; HJ is downright creepy. ]

What an odd man...

Oh, I met Nelson. He seemed nice. Don't think I met the weird hooded guy though.

At the auction, you mean? [ A pause. ] It was hard to miss him... he never took off the hood, even when he was trying on clothes.

Yeah, at the auction. [She chews on another bite as she thinks.]

Oh! I think I saw him...never said anything to him. Kinda creepy.

[ But Nelson cares about him a great deal. ]

All of this because of a stupid auction... [ He's really going to rip a new one into the culprit. Or try anyway. ]

Well, it's over now so you don't have to worry about it anymore. [Bright side! Sort of.]

That's true. [ He just wishes it never happened. ] I understand it was for a good cause...

Yup. A cause I wouldn't have bothered with normally. [So greedy.]

[ A flat look as he picks up his fork again. ]

Really... [ Says the woman who was living on her own and probably could have used the money? ]

Not really into the whole charity thing. My hard earned money and all that. [Stealing is hard work too!]

That seems a bit cruel, don't you think?

I did say I was cruel, didn't I? Besides, it's like I have an infinite amount of money I can just throw at something, as much as I wish I did. Since I've stopped my little side business and Piccolo's only just now getting a job... [The auction was a mistake, is what she's trying to say. But she really didn't expect to win. Winning Roy wasn't a huge chunk of her money taken from her but Gil, on the other hand, was a hit.]

But, whatever. What's done is done and they got some of money.
