WHO: Wanda Maximoff and YOU (seriously, come play with me right now, yes I mean you)
WHERE: an open-air market, somewhere in The City
WHEN: at any point this afternoon
WARNINGS: none!
SUMMARY: Wanda has wandered off on her own and stumbled upon something a little more familiar.
FORMAT: quicklog, or whatever, I’m flexible
[Wanda had been reluctant to venture out of the MAC alone, but Pietro had not answered the door when she knocked, and she really should at least attempt navigation on her own, for once. Of course, having a destination in mind wouldn’t have hurt, but she was not far past the streets she had walked previously when she stumbled upon a delightful little open-air market, all squished-up between two towering brick structures.]
[With a pleased little smile playing about her features, Wanda slips into the crowd -- it is not so frightening as those on the streets were, somehow -- and proceeds to lose herself in the simple task of bargain-hunting.]

[It was still uncomfortable though, and it made him feel uneasy which clearly showed on his face as he did his best to keep his distance a little bit at least. Even though he couldn't quite get over the feeling that he maybe stood out a bit, dressed in clothes that were suited for about the middle of the winter.]
[Worried that he might be standing out too much and wanting to avoid attention, he decided to find a shadow to slink into, only to end up bumping into someone as he finally spotted a place he could hide. Deciding just running off like he would've done in the past was too rude, he decided to apologize at least.]
... Oh, sorry.
no subject
That's quite alright -- it is hard not to bump anyone, in such a crowd.
[Noticing his clothing choice, she lifts an eyebrow, though her tone remains friendly.]
Excuse my boldness, but aren't you quite warm, dressed like that?
no subject
[He tilted his head as the woman asked the question about his clothes and then he shook his head.]
It's cold.
no subject
I.. see.
[After a moment, she catches herself, and smiles again, shifting her basket onto one arm to offer him the other hand.]
My name is Wanda. What's yours?
no subject
[He tilts his head to the side, then glances at her hand, almost considering taking it as that would be the... normal?... thing to do, but then, he isn't exactly normal, so he looks to the side, a bit uncomfortably.]
... Yoite.

[Convenient then, that as she wanders off to go greet the latest person showing an interest in her goods, James catches sight of certain other female in the crowd. Brunette. Well proportioned. And yes, incredibly appealing to look at. Which would be why Bond is now trying to catch her eye and offer up a welcoming smile in Wanda's direction. He still looks ever the English gentleman in dark fitted jeans, t-shirt and cardigan, which exactly what he likes to play on with all the Americans around. Chicks dig the accent.]
fancy meeting you here
this is a total surprise :o
Hello.
I'm absolutely shocked
Hello.
as am i
[He comments idly, not even making any sort of effort to act interested in the stall in front of him. It might be an odd approach to things, but this is usual for Bond. Busy areas are like easy hunting grounds, and the fact he has the courage and/or stupidity to talk to total strangers wins him plenty of points with the non-import females around.]

Of course, until she finds Wanda. It catches her off guard, and she hesitates before deciding to approach. Her vibrant green hair is very much a give away; Lorna Dane can never look subtle.]
Wanda?

Oh, hello -- we met over the.. the communicators, yes?

[ Regardless, if nothing else, job hunting did get him out and about the city a lot, which was definitely nice. It was also the reason he found himself in the open-air market, only paying cursory attention to what was being sold. ]

[Absent-mindedly, the woman ducks and winds her way through the crowd of shoppers towards the stand. She's almost there, too, when she finds herself very nearly crashing into someone walking just beside her destination.]
[With a brief sound of alarm, she manages to stop short of actually bowling into the man, but does briefly catch herself on his shoulder to keep from falling. Just as quickly, she snatches her hand back, turning wide eyes on the stranger.]
I'm so sorry!
no subject
[ A little late to worry about that now though. Reflexively, Connor reaches out, ready to catch her if she falls, but she seems to have this covered. ]
It's fine. Don't worry about it.
[ Connor gives a quick reassuring smile. It's not like she meant to do that. He also decides to add in a quick... ]
Are you okay?
no subject
I am, thank you.
no subject
[ Connor intelligently trails off partway through his sentence as soon as he notices that, and because the poor boy has very little concept when it comes to subtleties and keeping certain things secret, he decides to point this kind of obvious fact out. ]
You're one of the people who were ported in here too?

safsahfaf sorry I'm so late!
He choses to take a walk.
He hears a thunk during his push through the crowd, but doesn't think anything of it. It's only thirty seconds later that he realizes he dropped his communicator.]
Oh-- [He looks around.] Um. [He looks down. Nothing.] Fuck.
[He moves back through the crowd, eyes down on the ground. It's gotta be somewhere, right?]
