[ Gil had tried to call back, but to no avail. After wondering what he should do for approximately five minutes, he grabbed his coat and other belongings and headed out of the house. Since it was already getting late and his last experience with the subway had ended with nearly being shot and Electro showing up, he hailed a cab and took it all the way to Kenzi's place.

Quickly, he heads up the stairs and makes his way all the way to her front door, knocking lightly but also loud enough so she might hear it. He shuffles his feet outside on the step to rid himself of the snow he's trailing. ]

Kenzi? [ Perhaps her roommate is home. He knocks again. ] Hello?

[There's a thump as Kenzi rolls off the couch followed by some movement coming toward the door.

Kenzi peers through the peephole to see Gil on the other side and frowns. She takes a moment to smooth her hair down before opening the door.]

What...are you doin' here?

[ He shouldn't be surprised when it's her that greets him at the entrance, yet he is. He stares at her bewildered, then examines her from where he stands to see if there's anything on the external that hints she's not okay. ]

What do you mean? You called me and then hung up so quickly I became worried!

[Her eyes are a little red and puffy...actually her whole face is kind of red. She looks feverish but that's what alcohol does.]

I told you wrong number you didn't need to... [She groans and rubs her face. Too late, he's already here. Might as well let him in. So she steps aside so he can enter if that's what he's going to do.

There's an empty bottle of wine and a half empty bottle of vodka sitting on the coffee table.]

[ He puts a hand out as if to steady her, but he doesn't touch her yet. He notes the smell and then his eyes trail over to the table, noting the bottles of alcohol. ]

How much did you drink?

[Kenzi closes the door without a word then makes her way back to the couch. She might be a bit wobbly on her feet but she's not about to fall over.]

All the wine. [It was a really cheap bottle. She always buys the cheap bottles.] And...I don't remember how much of the vodka. [She flops down on the couch and stares at the vodka. How much of it did she drink? Obviously enough that after a short nap she completely forgot she was in the City and not back home.]

Kenzi! [ He follows her and voices his dismay, along with a frown. ] I thought something had happened!

No...just wrong number, like I said. Waaaaaaaaaay wrong number. [Because Bo isn't even in this world.

After a moment she sits up, a slight grin forming on her lips.] But since you're here~

Your eyes are red. You should lay down in your room. [ He hasn't even taken off his shoes let alone his coat and hat yet. He'll just mop up the mess after he deals with Kenzi. ] Are you home alone? [ He finally realizes, looking backing and forth. ]

[Kenzi glances toward Piccolo's room then shrugs. Since Valentine's they've pretty much been avoiding each other whenever possible.]

No idea. An' there's no TV in there.

You can't sleep on a couch. It's no good for your back. [ He offers her his hand. ] Come on.

It's where I sleep back home. [She stares at his hand for a moment before taking it and letting him pull her to her feet.] But fine.

That's no good. [ He's going to have to let her lead the way to the bedroom since he isn't sure which one is hers, but he's supporting her the entire time. ] I'll put the bottles away for you. I'm surprised you drank that much vodka on your own.

M'Russian, I can drink that shit like water.

[She leads the way right to her bed and makes an attempt to pull him into with her when she flops down on it.]

You are-- hey! [ He stumbles a couple of steps and pulls in the opposite direction. ]

[And she goes down on the bed alone.]

You are what? [As if nothing happened.]

[ He pulls away fast after ensuring she's safely on the bed. ]

I mean-- I didn't know you were Russian. [ All he knows about that country is that it's huge and cold. ]

Da. Thought I, like, mentioned that before. [And full of evil old women that love to scare children with tales about Baba Yaga and other fairy tail horrors.]

It must have slipped my mind...

You know too much drinking isn't good for your liver, yes? I've read about it in the newspaper.

It ain't rebelled yet. [She shifts around on the bed and grabs one of her pillows and cuddles it against her chest.] Y'know you don't have to clean up my mess.

You should take better care of yourself. Honestly... [ He sighs and finally unties his scarf. With all his winter gear on, he's burning in here fast. ] And who else will if you don't? I don't mind.

I'll get it in the morning. [Or Piccolo will pick it up if he's around.]

[ Another sigh. ]

How are you feeling? Do you need water?

[Kenzi goes silent for a few moments as if trying to decide if she wants water or not. After a bit she shrugs.]

If you want to get it. [As for how she's feeling, well she's not going to say. She feels like shit but it's not because of her drinking so much.]

[ He'll take that as a yes.

He disappears for about a minute and returns having taken off his coat, hat and shoes, and with a glass full of water that's not too cold and offers it to her. ] Can you even sit up? [ He's not going to baby her. ]
